ScoreCam videos are saved in your iPhone’s Photos library, which is the largest contributor to app storage. Here are ways to reduce it:
- Delete recordings you no longer need — Open the Photos app, find your ScoreCam album, and delete videos you have already transferred or backed up. Remember to also empty the Recently Deleted album to reclaim the space immediately.
- Save future recordings to an external USB-C drive — Connect a compatible drive and enable Settings → External Drive Recording. Recordings go directly to the drive and never fill your device at all.
- Use HEVC encoding — Settings → Video Camera (PRO) → Custom Settings → Video Codec → High Efficiency. HEVC files are roughly half the size of H.264 at the same quality level.
- Record at lower resolution — Dropping from 4K to 1080p, or from 60fps to 30fps, significantly reduces file size.
- Enable iCloud Photos — Videos upload to iCloud and can be removed from device storage while remaining available to stream. Requires sufficient iCloud storage.
